Berry Global, is set to give healthcare, hygiene and food production markets the widest choice of materials and sustainable solutions for hard surface disinfecting with a range of new wipes substrate materials. Customers can choose from an unrivalled range of technologies, including spunbond, spunlace and SMS. Berry also supplies an extensive range of sustainable solutions that incorporate over 90% post-industrial recycled (PIR) content, under its Endura brand. Professional wiping requires a high grade of material to ensure efficacy with cleaning solutions, and therefore compliance with the rigorous hygiene standards required in sectors such as healthcare and food production. Berry’s offering for hard surface disinfecting brings together the most comprehensive range of materials available for this purpose, each offering a particular absorption capacity, absorption speed and liquid retention to suit most applications: – Spunbond – for the delivery of detergent-based cleaning solutions; – Spunlace – for combined cleaning and surface disinfection; – SMS – for the delivery of alcohol and disinfection-based cleaning solutions; – Scrubby – for tasks that require additional cleaning power and surface disinfection. In addition, Endura offers cost-effective recycled options using PIR content, for customers conscious about circularity and reducing their carbon footprint. Currently four Berry materials are available using such content: Endura Scrubby; Endura Meltblown; Endura Spunbond; and 100% rPET Spunlace. Berry – which owns the leading professional wiping Chicopee brand – is well-known for the quality of its nonwoven materials. As Eileen Calder, Product Manager, Wipes at Berry EMEIA Healthcare, Hygiene & Specialties explains, the aim is to maximise choice for customers. “Over time, we’ve invested in an unrivalled range of non-woven technologies for the wipes market. This gives us a truly comprehensive breadth of offering, giving wipes converters one source for all of their needs. “Berry Global can also provide complementary packaging systems such as wipes canisters and buckets. For customers, this means reduced purchasing complexity by being able to work with a single supplier on materials and packaging.”
